Hi, I'm Meg, the creator of CITRYN.

CITRYN was created to celebrate beauty that feels intentional, empowering and real. At its heart, this space is a thank you to everyone who has supported me, and the moments that shaped this brand. CITRYN wouldn't exist without you.

The vision began with my Mom. In 2024 she was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent multiple treatments in her fight against it. Throughout her journey, she began researching the products she was using, hoping to avoid harmful ingredients and support her body as best she could during treatment and beyond. Watching her navigate that season with so much grace, inspired me to create something better. 

I've loved makeup for as long as I can remember (honourable mention to the older sister figure in my life). But her experience really pushed me to look at what I was putting on my skin. That wake up call was the beginning of CITRYN.

Having the idea was one thing, but making it a reality was another. For a time, I wasn't sure creating something like this was possible. It started as a small idea. Something I consistently felt pulled towards, but didn't fully know how to start. Still, I kept coming back to it. (serious thanks to my partner who listened to many thoughts, doubts and ideas).

From a young age, my dad instilled in us the belief that your reality is shaped by the work you're willing to put into it. He's always made me feel capable of taking on the world. That belief and the support of the people around me became the foundation that helped bring CITRYN to life.

And through it all, my grandparents gave me a place to create. They generously opened their studio to me, giving CITRYN a home in it's earliest days.

Our name comes from the crystal Citrine, symbolizing joy, abundance and prosperity. Everything I hope this brand embodies.
